What gets accepted

The design carries a point of view — it does not look like a template with the colours changed.
Type is set properly: sensible measure, real hierarchy, tracking that was actually considered.
It performs. A beautiful site that takes eight seconds to paint is not a good reference.
It is live and public. No staging links, no password walls, no coming-soon pages.
